The Abeka curriculum is taught in a traditional classroom setting with one teacher per class. Our current structure combines the K3 – K5 students, the 1st and 2nd grade students, and so on. Each student is still taught from their grade appropriate curriculum. (i.e.: 1st grade uses 1st grade materials, 2nd grade uses 2nd grade materials, etc.) This system has worked very well, as evidenced by our students Stanford Achievement Test results.
The Accelerated Christian Education curriculum uses a non-traditional approach to the classroom setting. Students are given a Diagnostic Test, upon first enrolling in our school or when beginning this curriculum, in order to ascertain their “performance level” irrespective of their chronological grade level. This test allows us to see any learning gaps the student may have in various subjects. The correct curriculum level is then prescribed in each subject, based upon the student needs. This Curriculum is used 3rd Grade -12th Grade.
